Meet the Instructor

2013 ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ nominee, experienced martial artist and firearms enthusiast, Sam Brooks started Brooks Defense Solutions out of a need that he saw in his local area for self-protection instruction and crisis management that resulted from issues such as the COVID-19 pandemic and riots.

With a passion for service and education, Brooks founded Brooks Defense in order to best serve his community that’s realistic, practical, and cost-effective in order to instill a mentality of preparing for the worst-case scenario. While he enjoys training experienced students, he’s passionate about training those that are new to the subject matter as well as those with disabilities.

In his spare time, Brooks enjoys spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, traveling, fitness, watching UFC and the rodeo, researching various historical, theological and political topics, as well as, self-defense and its legalities.
