Concealed Carry

Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. The course is a complete guide to understanding conflict avoidance and situational awareness; home security and home defense; handgun, shotgun and AR-15 basics; shooting fundamentals; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath); and a complete guide on gear, gadgets, and ongoing training.

Emergency First Aid Fundamentals

When EMS personnel and the emergency room are minutes (or longer) away, it can mean the difference between life and death. Whether you’re a new student, in need of a refresher or acquiring your first aid certification for your job, this course is perfect for you! In this class, we explain the proper way to assess a patient, as well as, the proper way to deal with significant issues such as serious bleeding, chest injuries, a compromised airway, spinal injuries, broken bones and more.

New Shooter / Basic Handgun

This lesson will introduce you to the basics, including a visual overview of the fundamentals for accurate and safe shooting. You’ll learn the basic anatomy of a handgun, proper stance, loading a magazine, sight alignment, and trigger pull where you’ll finish with a live fire session that ranges from 3 feet to 7 yards (the typical distance for a self-defense encounter). The goal of this lesson is to de-mystify what can sometimes feel like a topic reserved for experts. Contact us to schedule a time slot. This course takes 2 hours to complete.

Advanced Pistol (CPL Holders Only)

Topics include a detailed explanation of what students should know avoiding, escaping, and defending against an attacker, and even what the student should know about their obligations under the law when it comes to the legal right to use force. Brooks then explains and demonstrates a number of methods of drawing a firearm from a holster. Three different types of reload methods are demonstrated. This lesson is also concluded with a number of on and off the range drills, including learning how to use cover and concealment, and even how to shoot on the move.

Marksmanship is a crucial foundation for any responsibly armed American. Now that you have completed your foundational training, it is time to test yourself on the range.

Protector Academy Qualification 2

Defensive firearms training is not just about shooting hundreds of rounds. It is practicing real skills like reloading and clearing malfunctions under stress.

We will simulate this stress with timed drills. But you are also responsible for every round you fire in a self-defense situation. So you must also accurately hit your target 100% of the time.

Protector Academy Qualification 3

Defensive shooting requires a keen balance of speed and precision. Mastering defensive shooting takes practice — lots of it. But it is a skill that, when well developed, can save you, a loved one or an innocent bystander in an actual deadly force scenario. This test will force you to find that balance of speed and precision under pressure.

Red Dots 101

Did you recently purchase your first red dot and are in need of assistance sighting your handgun? Or are you trying to decide whether a red dot might be right for you? Whether you have a CPL and are looking to add a red dot to your everyday carry or are getting started in the world of red dot sights, this is the perfect class for you! In this class, we’ll be covering a variety of topics including, but not limited to, different brands, how to sight in your red dot, and the pros and cons of having a red dot.

Women’s Handgun & Self-Defense Fundamentals

This 3-part course involves 1) Basic Pistol, 2) Intermediate Pistol and 3) Defensive Pistol. It’s a great class for the individual or group.

Basic AR (W/ Range Time)

Topics include, but isn’t limited to, a basic understanding of the AR platform, pros and cons of AR rifles vs. AR pistols, various calibers, and gear and gadgets. The goal is to de-mystify what AR’s have been portrayed to be.

Basic Shotgun (W/ Range Time)

Topics include, but isn’t limited to, gauge definition, ideal shot size for home defense and shotgun chokes, as well as, some ideal defensive shotguns to choose from. This course will be taught from a defensive position as opposed to skeet, hunting, etc.

Real Estate Agent Safety

Real estate agents face a significant risk of being attacked while on the job and are searching for ways to stay safe. Topics include, but isn’t limited to, situational awareness, commonly used cellphone safety features, legal use of force and defensive options.

Children’s Firearms & Safety

In this FREE course, students will get a comprehensive overview on the basics of firearms, shooting fundamentals, and how to properly handle and store them. It sets the foundation for families to have a safety-first mindset. We will also be utilizing SIRT pistols as opposed to live fire drills.

We will also have textbooks, gift certificates, registration forms for other courses and other items available for sale.

Developing a Personal & Home Defense Plan

There’s one important place that you should always feel safe…your home! Topics include developing a personal and home protection plan, firearm basics, legal use of force, what happens during a violent encounter and its aftermath, and the various gear and gadgets for your firearm.
